DURAN Duran frontman Simon Le Bon described her music as what it sounds like when the snow sings.
Now Turner Sims audiences can hear the unique renditions of Baltic folk musician Maarja Nuut when she takes to the stage in Southampton on Friday.
Hailing from Northern Estonia, the fiddler/singer combines traditional dance tunes, songs and stories with live electronics to create a space where minimalism and experimental music meet the village musical traditions of pre-war Europe.
Nuut produces utterly compelling, hypnotic music. Tickets to see the Tallinn Music Week Prize winner in action are available from 023 8059 5151 or turnersims.co.uk
