They are without doubt two of the most exciting young talents to emerge over the last 12 months.

And last night the Brighton duo of Jordan "Rizzle" Stephens and Harley "Sylvester" Alexander-Sule, made a victorious sell out return to the south coast.

Aka Rizzle Kicks the boys brought their own infectious brand of pop-rap to the Bournemouth 02 Academy and bounced about the stage like a couple of over excited kids – well actually that’s exactly what they are.

And with it the Brit School former pupils gave us an energetic fun pack night with a string of top ten hits from their hit debut album Stereo Typical.

The duo came on to stage to the Inspector Gadget theme tune and as well as their own tracks an hour’s performance also gave us a bit of Ed Sheeran, some White Stripes, a version of the James Bond theme cover plus plenty of crowd participation and chit-chat.

The audience seemed to enjoy the filler stuff, well, what do you really expect from two 20-year-old blokes with material from just one 14-track album.

Memorable moments included Dreamers, Miss Cigarette and Stop The Chatter – but among the hits of the night was the Fatboy Slim produced Mama Do The Hump and the rousing top ten When I was a Youngster.

They saved the best to last with the infectious mariachi-based debut track Down With The Trumpets.

In style, lyrics and attitude Rizzle Kicks encapsulate pure teenage fun.

Of coure that was refeclect in the crowd, but the boys also had the very few of us there whose school days are a distant memory just wishing, for an hour at least, that we were back there again.

Their music, and especially their live performance, is bursting with enthusiasm as they, make the most of their rapid rise to the top and sudden fame.

And based on last night’s show they could be around for some time.

Rizzle Kicks and the band actually debuted at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth and looked more than please to return there.

But I’m sure when they come back again they won’t be playing in such a small venue.

Yes, that might not be quite as intimate, but I bet where ever they are it will still be great fun!
