STREET performers are being urged to unwrap their talents for an arts festival this summer.

Eastleigh Unwrapped will showcase a variety of creative talents in an entertaining and free day out for the whole family, and talented buskers could be a part of the extravaganza too.

Musicians are being invited to apply for a busking slot at Eastleigh Unwrapped – a festival of music, dance and street theatre.

Eastleigh Unwrapped is being organised by The Point, Eastleigh, and Daniel Hill, drama development manager at the venue, is urging anyone who would be interested in taking part to get in touch.

He said: “We are looking for local musicians to fill our multiple busking slots during the day. Whether you play jazz, blues, folk, pop or rock we want to hear from you. We have a number of designated areas around the town for musicians to perform unplugged sessions.

“Last year’s buskers were seen by thousands of people who came into Eastleigh especially for the free day and this could be your opportunity to showcase your talents to a new audience.”

Apply to Daniel.hill@eastleigh.gov.uk by April 30 with details of your act, number of players and examples of your work.

Eastleigh Unwrapped is on June 14, and performances will include stunning aerial theatre and circus, flying machines, a giant rolling wheel and acrobatics as well as explosive dance.
