THE glitz and glamour of the jazz age will be revived at a fundraising ball for a Hampshire children’s charity.
The Joe Glover Trust, which offers care and support to children, young people and their families who are suffering through cancer, is holding a Great Gatsby-themed ball at Southampton’s Novotel on September 19 complete with live music, auction and raffle.
The charity relies on its funding from events and fund raising activities throughout the year and the annual ball is one of its biggest money spinners – last year’s Caribbean-themed event, also held at the Novotel, was attended by 270 guests and raised £16,000.
