THE first of two mini music festivals at New Forest hotels this summer takes place this weekend.

Boutique festival Smoked & Uncut returns to Lime Wood near Lyndhurst on Sunday.

Indie rock legends Noisettes will bring their sound to the event. With three commercially successful studio albums and singer Shingai Shoniwa at the helm, you’re guaranteed a high octane show.

Singer Alex Vargas, who released his first EP, Giving Up The Ghost this year will supply his groundbreaking and alternative pop to the mix, alongside Seafret, No Sugar and VeryLove.

A second acoustic stage has been added for the festivals, which last year saw performances from the likes of Lucy Rose, John Bramwell (I Am Kloot), Ed Harcourt and Andy Burrows (Razorlight).

Organisers promise a mix of local musicians, up-and-coming artists and accomplished stars at the events, which continue at The Pig nearby on September 4.

Classically trained singer-songwriter King Charles' alt-folk rock will be the perfect autumnal finish to Smoked & Uncut, which is now in its fifth year in the New Forest.

CC Smugglers are one of the UK's finest live acts, having established themselves by busking outside every UK tour date of the two-time Grammy award winning US Country musicians Old Crow Medicine Show. They describe their sound as good times music inspired by American and world folk, swing, jazz and blues and also appear on the bill alongside Helsinki, HeyCharlie and Palms & Pelicans.

Enjoy tasty, seasonal and locally sourced food from each hotel with a selection of specialist drinks including local ales from regional breweries and cocktails from Chase Distillery.

Vintage stores, vinyl shops, arts and crafts and tug-o-war for the children are also included.
