MAYFLOWER Theatre has unveiled details of it’s Autumn/Winter Season and it's a stunner!

It begins with a bang with Flashdance: The Musical (6-9 September) , starring Strictly Come Dancing Champion Joanne Clifton and A1 heartthrob Ben Adams.

The theatre hosts the World Premiere of Northern Ballet’s The Little Mermaid (21-23 September) which reimagines the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairytale.

As part of its first ever UK tour, the Olivier and Tony Award® -winning West End and Broadway show Beautiful – The Carole King Musical stops at Southampton 26-30 September. It tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom and includes hit songs: (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, Take Good Care of My Baby, You’ve Got a Friend, So Far Away, It Might as Well Rain Until September, Up on the Roof, and The Locomotion.

Cilla – The Musical visits 3-7 October. This spectacular and heart-warming musical is an adaptation of the life of Cilla Black. The musical score is the ultimate soundtrack to the 60’s including Cilla’s greatest hits Anyone Who Had a Heart, Alfie and Something Tells Me.

Christopher Bruce’s Ghost Dances and other works comes to Mayflower Theatre 10-11 October. Possibly the most popular work in Rambert’s history, Ghost dances tells stories of love and compassion, as death – in the form of the iconic “ghost dancers” – interrupts the lives of a series of ordinary people. This triple bill also includes A Linha Curva, Rambert’s samba-flavoured party piece, and heart-breaking love story Transfigured Night.

A new stage adaptation of E. Nesbit’s classic novel The Railway Children stops off 12-15 October. Complete with beautiful period costumes, digital projections and ingenious designs, this new production promises an uplifting theatrical experience for all ages, packed with intrigue, adventure, joy and jubilation.

Following a smash-hit West End season, the tea-guzzling tiger from The Tiger Who Came to Tea arrives at Mayflower Theatre from 13-15 October. This delightful family show is packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos!

Welsh National Opera return 18 – 21 October with Eugene Onegin, From the House of the Dead and Die Fledermaus. WNO are celebrating the centenary year of the Russian revolution with this season as well as celebrating the classic Die Fledermaus.

Acosta Danza, Carlos Acosta’s brand new company, visits 23 and 24 October on their first UK tour. Based in Havana, the company is made up of the best dancers Cuba has to offer who have trained in both ballet and contemporary dance styles.

All or Nothing The MOD musical, plays October 27-28. This quintessentially British ‘Mod’ Musical celebrates the unique sound of the iconic ‘60s Mod band, The Small Faces with hits like Whatcha Gonna Do About It, Lazy Sunday, Tin Soldier, Sha La La La Lee, Itchycoo Park and of course All Or Nothing.

The fastest selling musical theatre tour of all time, The Band, comes to Mayflower Theatre from 31 October to 11 November. The show follows five 16 year old girls in 1992, for whom the band is everything. 25 years on, we are reunited with the group of friends, now 40-something women, as they try once more to fulfil their dream of meeting their heroes. Featuring the music of Take That the musical stars the winners from BBC’s Let it Shine, Five to Five.

Rita Simons, Lucie Jones and Bill Ward star in Legally Blonde November 14-18. The smash hit Broadway and West End Musical based on the best loved movie follows beautiful and popular sorority sister Elle Woods who loves to be pampered and is passionate about pink.

Caroline Flack makes her stage debut alongside Tom Chambers and Charlotte Wakefield in Crazy For You, November 21-25 . The High energy, high kicking and gloriously glamorous, Crazy For You features a raft of Gershwin songs including I Got Rhythm, They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Nice Work If You Can Get It and Embraceable You

English National Ballet’s Nutcracker, the magical Christmas ballet for all the family visits 29 November - 2 December.

The multi award-winning international sensation, Slava’s Snowshow is back 5-9 December. This unique theatrical adventure is filled with heart, humour and stunning spectacle, promising a breath-taking multisensory delight.

Mayflower Theatre finishes the year with it’s fab-u-lous pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (15 December to 7 January). Starring Craig Revel Horwood, The Chuckle Brothers and dance troupe Flawless, the show is brought to life with an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers with stunning costumes and scenery.
