ONE of the summer’s more intimate festivals, Festibelly, has announced the first acts to join the bill.
Rock ’n’ roll family trio Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, folk group Skinny Lister, and Mr Nice aka Howard Marks will be at the festival at the Undershore in Lymington on August 25 and 26.
They will be joined by James Yuill, Balkan folk troop The Trans-Siberian March Band, rising French band We Were Evergreen and London collective Reggae Roast.
The Festibelly field will play host to a number of attractions, including Terrapin Station, Le Disco, Le Roller Disco, Massive In China and Autumn Shift – together creating a kaleidoscope of everything from psychedelic gypsy to dirty disco, cabaret, circus performance, wonky gameshows, cosy cafés, poetry, painting and more.
New for this year is a kids’ entertainment area, The Owlery.
As ever Festibelly stays close to its grassroots ethos and remains brand and sponsorship free.
Previous artists to play include New Young Pony Club, Rob Da Bank, Skinny Lister and Toy.
You can see Festibelly warm-up events this summer at Southampton’s The Orange Rooms, Bournemouth’s 60 Million Postcards and Festibelly local events in its hometown of Lymington.
