SUSAN Boyle is looking for love, and thinks Gary Barlow is the man for her.

The singer has had her first on-screen kiss with James Cosmo, who plays her husband in debut film The Christmas Candle, and now says she’d like life to imitate art.

SuBo said: “I want to find a man but it’s hard with all the travelling I do. I really want to start going on dates and I’ve asked my friends to set me up with a good man – if they can find one. I’d like to settle down one day.”

On the Take That frontman she added: “Now there’s a man. I think he’s really cute.”

Now I like Susan Boyle.

I love the way she shocked the world – particularly Simon Cowell – and became an overnight sensation on Britain’s Got Talent.

A frumpy middle aged woman walked on stage to sneers, but wowed the crowd with her voice. She launches into the most memorable hit from Les Miserables and while Cowell raises an eyebrow, Amanda Holden’s jaw literally drops.

It was an astonishing triumph and I wish the unlikely superstar every success.

Her discovery at the age of 47 reminded us all that we should continue to Dream a Dream.

But she’s gone too far this time.

Where Gary’s concerned, the words join the queue come to mind.
