RESEARCHERS at a Southampton charity looking into treatments for eye disease have been given a boost in funding.

Gift of Sight, at Southampton General Hospital, was given £500 for research into blindness disease macular degeneration by Ray Holt, pictured left, on behalf of the Freemasons.

Ailsa Walter from Gift of Sight said: "The Freemasons have been a tremendous help to Gift of Sight and this significant sum will boost funds required to aid research into eye disease which is being undertaken at Southampton General Hospital."
