POLICE are appealing for witnesses after cash, jewellery and Breitling watches were stolen from a house in Lymington.

Burglars broke into a property in Southampton Road, close to its junction with Kings Road and a set of temporary traffic lights.

Police are anxious to hear from drivers and passengers who had to wait at the lights last Friday, when the theft took place.

Officers are particularly keen to trace anyone who saw people hurrying from the area at 3.15pm, the time a neighbour’s burglar alarm was activated.

Call Pc Dean Miller at Lyndhurst CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
