A MAN was knocked over near a fast food outlet in a Hampshire town and then kicked as he lay defenceless on the ground.

The 41-year-old was left with cuts and bruises after the attack which was carried out by two men close to the Yummies Kebab shop in Forton Road, Gosport.

Police say the victim was hit causing him to fall over before being kicked once on the ground.

The suspects are white, in their mid 20s and around 6ft.

Witnesses to the assault, which happened at 11.30pm on Sunday, should call DC Salena Bishop from Fareham and Gosport CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
