A CAR had to be rescued from a flooded Hampshire road this morning as heavy rain saturated the county overnight.
Part of Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh, had to be closed off as Highways Agency teams attempt to pump out the water that has made driving through impossible.
Earlier this morning one car got stuck in the knee-deep water and needed to be towed out to safety.
Fortunately only the part of Stoneham Lane that leads to Eastleigh Football Club and the Trojans Rugby Club had to be taped off - the main part of the road that runs past the Concorde Club was unaffected.
