A MAN is due to appear before Portsmouth magistrates today (Nov 8), charged with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Gosport.
Paul Hodgson, 25, is accused of killing Ian Cadwallador from Southsea who was stabbed to death on Sunday.
A woman who was also being quizzed by police in connection with the death has been released on police bail.
Mr Cadwallador died at around 7am on Sunday in an attack which stunned the closely knit community in the Whitworth Road area.
A post mortem has been carried out on the body but police have yet to reveal the results.
Officers carried house to house inquiries in the Whitworth Road area where Mr Cadwallador died.
They also sifted through CCTV footage from across the town.
