AS far as doing things to scale goes, this workplace choir should hit the right note.

Staff at map-making firm Ordnance Survey have pulled together their first workplace choir.

The 55-strong group, named Off the Scale, have been in lunch-time rehearsals to prepare for today’s big concert at the Turner Sims Concert Hall – their first public performance.

The group formed just two months ago at the same time musician Gareth Malone’s television series urged organisations and workplaces to form their own choral groups.

Choir secretary Pauline Hand said: “It has been a great way of bringing the workforce together from across the departments and we are now really excited about performing the concert hall.”
