FUNDRAISERS who have gone to extraordinary lengths for three Hampshire charities completed their year-long challenge with a demanding dip in the pool.

Members of the public got into the water for a 1,500m swim at Fareham Leisure Centre. It was the last event in the 123 Decathlon Challenge – a series of events held over 12 months aimed at raising thousands for worthy causes.

More than £72,000 has already been pledged towards the Rose Road Association, Wessex Cancer Trust and the Rainbow Centre, thanks to sporting challenges including a tennis event, a 100km road cycle, an 800m run, long jump, shot put and a 200m sprint.
