DOCTORS from the Brook Lane Surgery in Sarisbury Green will be providing a new GP service at Fareham Community Hospital from Monday.
The initiative has been rolled out by the Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Portsmouth Primary Care Trust Cluster Board in response to public demand.
Dr Graham Newman, senior partner at Brook Lane Surgery, said: “This new service will provide more patients with the opportunity of being part of a long established practice whilst being able to attend bright new consultation facilities in the hospital. “We are looking forward to getting started in the community hospital.”
GPs at The Whiteley Surgery are also now looking to move all their services onto one site at Yew Tree Drive, which will lead to the closure of its Locks Road branch by the end of March.
