A MAN was left with a fractured cheekbone and broken nose after being attacked on his way home from work.

The 23-year-old was walking through a Southampton city centre park when he was robbed by a man who snatched a telephone from his hand. As the victim began to chase him a second man punched him in the face.

The robbery took place at 5.45pm last Thursday in Palmerston Park. The thief is described as a white man in his late teens or early 20s, around 5ft 8in, slim and with short hair.

He was wearing a bright orange jacket. His accomplice was wearing dark clothing.
