Eight hundred people in the south are being told they have cancer every week.
Now researchers in Southampton are edging closer to finding a cure for the illness.
A team at the Southampton Cancer Research UK Centre has found that small proteins
called antibodies have the potential to alert the body's immune system to the danger of cancer cells - and trigger white blood cells to spot and destroy them.
