A TEENAGER has been banned from contacting his ex-girlfriend after kidnapping her from her flat to talk to her about lies she had apparently told him.

Louis Irving burst into the woman’s home and slapped her across the face. He then took her to nearby woods “to talk” but the police arrived and he was arrested, said prosecutor Anita Gibson-Lee.

Irving, 19, of Brentwood Crescent, Southampton, admitted kidnap for which he received a 12-month suspended sentence with 18 months’ supervision.

Passing sentence, Judge Derwin Hope said he had been impressed by Irving’s early guilty plea, his remorse, the letter he had sent him, as well as references.
