FOURTEEN new jobs have been created with the opening of a new Screwfix store in Hampshire.

The trade tools, plumbing, kitchen and bathroom supplier has launched a branch at the Stansted Industrial Estate, Eastleigh. Eastleigh is Screwfix’s 258th store in the UK and will ensure that tradesmen have access to more than 11,000 tools, accessories and hardware products at their fingertips.

Store manager Laura Pratt – pictured opening the new store with local tradesman Gary Simpson (GS Plumbing and Heating) – said: “This is our first store in Eastleigh and it is great news; creating 14 jobs locally and introducing Screwfix to the area.

“At Screwfix we pride ourselves on the speed, reliability and convenience of our service and are looking forward to welcoming the tradesmen of Eastleigh, as well as local experienced DIY-ers who are also part of our loyal customer base”.

Screwfix has also opened a branch on the Carvers Industrial Estate in Ringwood.
