A FAIR Oak man has been jailed for two sustained assaults on women in front of young children.
Adam Staples, 22, admitted attacking Sarah Janet McConnachie and Lacey Bryan on November 24 last year, magistrates in Basingstoke heard.
Staples, of Selhurst Way, Fair Oak, also pleaded guilty to damaging a door belonging to Winchester City Council and failing to surrender to custody on January 8.
District Judge Philip Gillibrand jailed Staples for 12 weeks, saying the offences were exacerbated by the presence of two young children, with one two-year-old becoming involved.
The judge said there had been a lack of honesty and remorse shown to one victim which ruled out a community order.
