POLICE investigating an assault in Wetherspoons pub in Ryde are appealing for more witnesses.
The incident happened around 10.30pm on February 2 after a 21-year-old man is alleged to have been head butted by another man.
He was described as wearing a white jacket.
The victim was taken by Isle of Wight Ambulance Service to St Marys Hospital where he was treated for head injuries.
PC Mark Nigh said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked attack on a man stood drinking with friends.
"It occurred in a crowded bar on a Saturday night and left the victim with cuts to his eye which needed stitches.”
