Detectives in Hampshire are appealing for witnesses and information after a Shell Garage was broken into today.

At about 12.41am, two men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas broke into the garage in the High Street, Aldershot.

Once inside they stole cigarettes, cigars and tobacco and then made off from the scene in a dark-coloured saloon car, possibly a Volvo, driven by a third man.

Detective Constable Andy Grieve said: “I would like to speak to anyone who knows anything about this incident or who was in the High Street or Ash Road area between 12.15am and 12.45am.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who saw a dark-coloured car, possibly a Volvo, around the time of the break-in”.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det Con Grieve at Aldershot CID on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
