JURORS in the retrial of Chris Huhne’s ex-wife have been sent home for the day.
They will continue deliberating their verdict on Vicky Pryce from 10am tomorrow.
Pryce denies perverting the course of justice by taking speeding points for former Eastleigh MP Huhne in 2003.
The economist, 60, from Clapham, south London, is using a defence of marital coercion, claiming Huhne forced her to take the points.
The former Energy and Climate Change Secretary has pleaded guilty to the charge and will be sentenced at the conclusion of proceedings against his former wife.
A jury in Pryce’s original trial failed to reach a verdict, prompting a retrial, and yesterday the jury of seven men and five women retired to consider their verdict at Southwark Crown Court.
