THIS is the moment Southampton-based ship Queen Mary 2 made history today.
Cunard's flagship liner became the largest ship to visit Milford Sound in New Zealand's stunning world heritage-listed Fjordland National Park, on South Island.
As these photographs show, QM2 cruised the waters of Milford Sound as well as neighbouring Dusky Sound and Doubtful Sound as part of her maiden circumnavigation of New Zealand.
The 12-day journey around New Zealand will end in Sydney on Tuesday.
Carrying more than 2,500 passengers, Queen Mary 2 remains the biggest ship ever to sail to New Zealand.
