THE man who sparked a major police operation in Hampshire has pleaded guilty to two offences of sending offensive messages.
A charge of making threats to kill David Buckland were dropped at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.
Anthony Betsworth, 52, was initially charged with threatening to kill following an incident at a house in Selborne Road, Selborne, near Alton, on March 13.
His activities caused a nearby primary school and the road from Alton to Selborne and Greatham to be shut.
Betsworth, of Fathoms Road, Hayling Island, denied the threats charge but admitted sending the messages.
The case was adjourned for sentencing on April 5. Betsworth was released on conditional bail.
