Reward goes up to £15k in Jade Clark death investigation
4:42pm Wednesday 20th March 2013 in News
THE total reward for information about the death of Jade Clark has now been increased to £15,000, Dorset Police has confirmed.
The Ringwood business community agreed to offer £14,000 in the hope of finding the driver of the Volvo XC90 who fled the scene after colliding with Jade. An additional £1,000 reward is offered by Crimestoppers.
The 16-year-old former Ringwood School pupil was riding a red moped along the westbound carriageway of the A31 near the Ashley Heath roundabout when the collision occurred at around 8.20pm on Sunday, February 24.
Spencer McCarthy, of Churchill Retirement Living, speaking on behalf of the business community, said: “Local people have been shocked and saddened by this tragic incident.
“The local business community is pleased to offer an additional £10,000 to increase the total reward to £15,000.”
The hunt for the Volvo driver is also due to feature on tonight's Crimewatch programme.

Lets hope 15k will loosen some tongues because its not just the person that was driving that knows, somebody else is keeping quiet and they might as well have the 15k because the driver will get caught eventually its only a matter of time and the person you may be protecting isn't worth it they are the lowest of the low.
Surely all this waiting, not knowing, not speaking up is not only making things worse for whoever drove that car but I cannot begin to imagine what this young girl's family are going through as this drags on.
Whoever you are, do the decent thing and own up, act like a human being please.

This is almost 8000 vehicles, about half this number are in the light colour category. So about 4000 enquiries to be made, 800+ completed to date. In addition any foreign registered either arrived before the incident, or departed since, would have to be taken into consideration relying on any records held at the many car ferry ports around the UK.
I wonder how many XC90 there are in the uk , he or she has obviously not had it repaired yet as the Volvo dealerships could have flagged up the sale of a bumper and associated front end components to repair it. As that would narrow the search down a bit as i could not image the sales of bumpers could be that high in a period of a month ?

What a sad world we live in though that a monetary reward is needed to entice people to lead the police to the person who took this young girls life. I truly hope that whoever it was finds it in themself to report to the police and prevent the additional agony that Jades family will be enduring.
