SENTENCING of a gang who conned money out of generous members of the public, claiming they were collecting for Marie Curie Cancer Care has been delayed until next week.
Ringleader Gordon Coe and his four accomplices, Pauline Hunt, Susan Christians and husband and wife team Ben and Kim Chapman will discover their fate on Monday morning.
After hearing their mitigation this afternoon at Southampton Crown Court, Judge Derwin Hope told the five defendants that he would need time to consider the complex issues surrounding the case and would return their verdicts at 9.45am.
Coe, 65, from Millbrook, admitted his part in the charity collection scam, the other four were convicted by a jury at a trial last month.
