A COURT has heard how on the morning of his murder, victim Jamie Dack was tied up and gagged, with a sock in his mouth and Sellotape and a cord used to keep it in place.

Jurors at Winchester Crown Court were told how on the morning of Good Friday last year the 22-year-old was "bloodied and beaten" inside a Southampton flat where his alleged killers were staying as they decided what to do next. The previous night he had been subjected to a violent and prolonged attack.

Jonathan Fuller QC described how "concern was at the forefront of their minds" adding: "They had a dilemma and it affected each and every one of them."

After killer Lee Nicholls arrived at the flat in Bevois Mews that morning, he and his co accused Donna Chalk, Andrew Dwyer-Skeats and Ryan Woodmansey all left to go into the city centre and sell Jamie's laptop - collecting £100 from Cash Generator in East Street at 11.15 that day.

The court was told how they all returned to the flat where the fatal attack involving bottles and knives took place.

Chalk, 21, and Dwyer-Skeats, 26, both of Bevois Mews, and Woodmansey, a 33-year-old Big Issue seller of no fixed address, all deny murder.

The trio have admitted perverting the course of justice.

Nicholls is currently on remand awaiting sentence after changing his plea and admitting murder during a previous trial.
