Woman prosecuted over council tax
WINCHESTER City Council is prosecuting a woman for failing to pay council tax.
Heather Turvey, of Limetree Walk, Winnall, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court to plead not guilty to the council’s complaint and attempt to have her jailed.
The court heard that Turvey has failed to pay £7,560.03 for the period between June 14 2005 and June 15 2010.
The case was adjourned until June 6.
