A TEENAGER killed in a road smash had been driving a stolen vehicle, police have confirmed.
Joshua Cook-Blade suffered fatal injuries after the car he was in crashed in to a metal fence in Grange Road, Gosport.
Police have now confirmed that the black Vauxhall Astra had been reported stolen from an address in Rowner shortly before the collision, which happened yesterday at 7am.
The 19-year-old, from Gosport, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth but was pronounced dead at 8.25am.
A police spokesman said: “I can confirm the vehicle was stolen shortly before the collision.
“The circumstances surrounding that are still under investigation. We are still appealing for witnesses.”
