TWO local organisations have become champions of the Solent.

Winchester-based marketing firm Remarkable and breast cancer support charity The Haven have signed up to the Business Solent business partnership scheme.

Remarkable delivers campaigns through its PR and public affairs teams, and its creative and digital division NUKO. The Haven is a charity under the Wessex Capital umbrella and provides free, specialist one-to-one counselling and support therapies for breast cancer sufferers.

Both firms have become Champions of the Solent through Business Solent – a business engagement organisation that unites business leaders to drive economic prosperity.

Remarkable is the top ranked agency in Hampshire and the 13th largest outside of London.

Stephen Pomeroy, chief executive, said: “Remarkable has long recognised the strategic importance of being part of a shared business goal for the Solent region and has been impressed with the progress Business Solent has made.”

Lucy Hone, appeals manager of Wessex Capital, said: “We are delighted to join as a Solent champion. The Haven likes to work collaboratively with companies in our regions as we recognise that our services may well be of interest and benefit to each of you as individuals or to your companies by supporting your employees if they are affected by breast cancer.”
