Cultural talk
SOUTHAMPTON’S history as a cultural melting pot will be discussed at a lecture tonight.
Dr Linda Cadier will give a talk entitled Multicultural City: Migration and Languages in Southampton at Westgate Hall in Westgate Street.
Dr Cadier, who is from an Italian migrant family who came to live in the city at the turn of the 20th century, works in the modern languages department at the University of Southampton.
Tickets for the talk, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £4.50 and are available by calling 023 8083 4536.
