IT’S the ultimate cult rock ’n’ roll musical.

The Rocky Horror Show is back next week as part of a year-long UK tour to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a party every night.

And this time doing the Time Warp as Brad and Janet are Sam Attwater, best known for EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Dancing on Ice, and Tracy Beaker actress Dani Harmer, who was a Strictly Come Dancing finalist last year.

The Rocky Horror Show tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two squeaky clean college kids who meet Dr Frank ’n’ Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house, while on their way to visit their former college professor.

It is an adventure they’ll never forget, with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity, bursting with timeless floor-fillers and outrageous outfits.

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show is a guaranteed party, which famously combines science-fiction, horror, comedy and music and encourages audience participation meaning, of course, getting dressed in your most outrageous fancy dress.

Speaking at a pre-show launch at The Mayflower, Sam told Lorelei Reddin he will be glad to be back at The Mayflower after travelling from his home in Basingstoke as a child to appear alongside Brian Conley in a charity variety show.

He added: “The audience certainly keep it fresh! It’s different every day, sometimes they shout in all the places you expect and sometimes in a place you completely wouldn’t expect. It keeps it interesting.

“The other day I accidentally called Janet Gina and they were hysterical. They love it when you get it wrong, but that’s theatre.”

Dani, who grew up in Bracknell and takes over from Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett in boogying to Dammit Janet, said: “It’s a massive part and one of my favourite shows of all time, so no pressure then! It’s almost more difficult to learn it properly when you already know every single step and have been making up your own words to the songs for years!”
