CULTURE24 Museums at Night, the annual afterhours celebration of UK culture, history and heritage is back!

Get a behind-thescenes curator’s tour of The Museum of Army Flying in Middle Wallop on Thursday from 7pm until 10pm.

Among Hampshire’s attractions on next Friday will be a nocturnal craft event at the New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst, a children’s sleepover at The Museum of Naval Firepower in Gosport, ghost hunting at the Gosport Discovery Centre and an action-packed evening of after dark activities including the firing of a 32-pounder Victorian gun at Fareham’s Fort Nelson.

For bookworms enjoy a marathon Pride and Prejudice reading relay at Jane Austen’s House Museum in Chawton on Friday.

In Fareham town centre...

NOW in their eighth consecutive year, the popular Gardeners’ Fairs returns to West Street’s pedestrian precinct tomorrow.

Whether it is bedding plants, perennials and unusual plants or new furniture and landscaping ideas, around 30 local horticultural businesses and community groups will have everything you need to enhance your garden this season.

Entertainment at the event, which takes place from 9am until 3pm, will be provided by the Vox Pop Choir.

At Marwell Zoo...

CHEER on hundreds of runners for the zoo’s biggest fundraising event of the year – the Marwell Zoo 10k Road Race and Fun Run.

The family event on Sunday raises funds for wildlife conservation and to take care of animals in the park.

There’s lots happening on the day including music by the Big Noise Samba Band and a special guest appearance by Chico the Meerkat.

THE first Lovingly Local Fundraising Event and Spring Fair invites shoppers to discover who’s who in the Locks Heath community.

Dozens of stallholders will showcase everything from homeware and crafts to jewellery and pampering products from 11am until 3pm tomorrow.

Meet an image consultant for style advice, try out speciality fudge or talk to a local childcare expert who has published her first children’s book while children can have their faces painted.

Each stallholder will donate a prize to the raffle held on the day to raise money for Help4Harvey to allow three-year-old Harvey Young, pictured left, who suffers from spastic diplegia to have a lifechanging operation in America that could see him walk for the first time.
