AN inquest will take place next month into the death of a young motorcyclist on a Hampshire road.

Marcus Lowbridge, pictured, died after coming off his bike in a collision with a car in Hunts Pond Road, Park Gate.

The 20-year-old, a former Brookfield School student, was rushed to hospital but died shortly afterwards.

Following the tragedy on March 10, 2012, a 56-year-old driver from Locks Heath was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

But after she denied the charge earlier this year, prosecutors offered no evidence and the case against her was dropped.

Now an inquest is set to take place to determine exactly how Mr Lowbridge died.

As previously reported, more than 100 pals of the popular bike enthusiast gathered for a convoy in his memory shortly after his death.

A coroner will examine the tragedy at a hearing at Portsmouth Coroner’s Court on June 5.
