AROUND £16,000 was raised at the Geoff Smith Foundation’s annual golf day and gala dinner.
The charity, which helps to provide support for sufferers of multiple sclerosis, has now hosted the event for 16 years.
A total of 22 teams competed in blustery conditions at South Winchester Golf Club, with the team from Cooper Handling winning the tournament.
Foundation patron Matt Le Tissier handed out the prizes at the evening dinner, which was attended by some 250 people, at Southampton’s Novotel.
Guests were entertained by comic magician Manual Martinez and music organised by Rufus Stone frontman Malc Eyers.
Lt Cdr John Sciver, Angela and Matt Le Tissier and Geoff Smith, order no 16472878
