T’Pau have a date at Eastleigh’s Concorde Club before their trip across the Solent to play Isle of Wight Festival.

The 80s pop/rock band, fronted by Carol Decker, will be making their debut at the Stoneham Lane Club on Thursday.

They are marking the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album, the quadruple platinum selling Bridge of Spies, with a nationwide tour and a greatest hits album.

It is the first time that the band will have appeared at the iconic Island music festival in over a decade.

The Stoneham Lane club is one of the early calls in a 28-date tour which includes special guest appearances by co-founder Ron Rogers.

Formed in Shropshire in 1986, the band has a plethora of worldwide hits.

The impressive catalogue includes Heart & Soul, which stayed in the US billboard chart for six months, and China In Your Hand, a UK number one for five weeks.

The original line-up split in 1991 but Carol, with her trademark big voice and mass of red hair, continued touring the UK and abroad on the popular eighties shows and festivals.

Many of the original members have returned to record new material.
