Medical emergency causes ferry disruption
FERRY services between Hampshire and the Isle of Wight have been delayed by nearly an hour today because of a medical emergency on one of the boats.
The 3.30pm Red Funnel car ferry from East Cowes to Southampton is currently delayed as an ambulance had to take a casualty to Southampton General Hospital from the Southampton ferry terminal.
It is one of the busiest days of the year for Red Funnel as it is the end of the Isle of Wight Festival which sees thousands of revellers heading home.
