New coffee outlet for city centre
A GLOBAL cafe giant will open a new outlet in Southampton this summer.
City council planners have given Starbucks permission to open a new cafe at Town Quay Marina.
The store, which will open in August, will create about 15 jobs.
The company had applied to the city council to convert the vacant building into a new cafe earlier this year.
And now that the city council has given the scheme the green light, refurbishment work will start soon ahead of the opening in August.
The cafe will have an outdoor seating area featuring umbrellas and wind barriers.
