A TEAM of scooter riders dressed up their beloved machines for a 540- mile Top Gear-style challenge to raise money for charity.
The ten riders, led by Shaun Isaac, centre, 45, a telecommunications manager for Network Rail from Brokenford Avenue in Totton, set off fromthe Salmon Leap pub in Totton to Land’s End and back. The ride is in aid of Cancer Research UK and St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.
The cause is very close to Shaun’s heart as the hospice cared for his mother Janet Vincent during her short battle with cancer, before she passed away last year.
The nine colourful mopeds, which each cost a maximum of £500, are decorated in different themes, which include Kermit the Frog, the Pink Panther and Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.
The riders won’t be zooming down the motorway, as they can only reach a top speed of 30mph.
