Two construction firms have joined forces and announced plans to transform a major site in Hampshire.

Morrish Builders and Jade-Aden Services have formed JAM, a project that could see the headquarters for a major employer built in Ringwood.

And the firms has confirmed that all 85 of heating firm Eberspächer’s employees, currently working at four different sites, will be based at the new three-acre old Wellworthy site in Christchurch Road.

A spokesman for JAM said: “The leading heating and air conditioning firm Eberspächer will sell its existing headquarters in Salisbury Road, and consolidate its three other units in the local area.

“All existing staff will work from the new site less than one mile away.”

Eberspächer’s managing director Vincent Lee added: “It has taken two years to find the right site for our staff and we are delighted that we are staying in Ringwood.

“By merging our existing sites into one, it is not only commercially profitable, we can build on our team spirit and bring everyone together.”

The proposed two-storey building will comprise offices and a warehouse.

District councillor Jeremy Heron said the firms had contacted New Forest District Council for pre-planning advice, but a planning application for the new scheme had yet to be submitted.

He said “The plan is, however, an industrial scheme for an industrial piece of land so Jade-Aden Services could be optimistic in light of the current environment for planning.”

The firms’ spokesman added: “Jade-Aden Services Limited is in negotiations with New Forest District Council and, following extensive consultation with planning officers who are fully versed in their vision for the site, a pre-planning application has been submitted.”
