IMMERSE yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of the countryside at next week’s New Forest and Hampshire County Show.

This is the traditional agricultural show with a difference, encompassing everything from live music to arts and crafts. Attractingup to100,000each year, visitorscanenjoy flowersand fly fishing, pluscookeryand chariot racing!

The Devil’s Horsemen will be entertaining the crowds with their daring and dangerous displays.

And it wouldn’t be the New Forest Show without the New Forest Yokels Agricultural Band, previously known as the New Forest Plonkers, included in the music line-up. The Wurzel tribute band delights revellers outside the beer and cider tent each day with songs like Combine Harvester.

With a theme of ‘Get Involved’, this year’s show has more ways than ever for you to join in the fun.

The Discovery Zone is the perfect place for kids to learn about the Forests wonders by building a den and hunting for bugs.

If you’re not partial to creepycrawlies, cuddle a rabbit in the show farm, round up the sheep with the shepherd, see the cow’s being milked at the livestock area, hold one of the majestic falcons or become a tiger with expert face painting.

Keen gardeners and photographers can join an array of contests, learn to cook game recipes if food is your thing or head to the honey and bee tent for a demonstration.

Among a host of attractions this year are One Man and His Dog which displays the very best sheep dog techniques, the Pony Club Mounted Games and the stunning Heavy Horse Musical Drive.
