THEY HAVE been entertaining thousands of people on the streets throughout the summer.

But this weekend is the last chance to see the city’s rhinos in all their glory before they charge out of Southampton for good.

All 96 Go! Rhinos sculptures have just 48 hours left grazing in city streets and parks before they are shipped out ready to be auctioned off for charity.

The Marwell public art extravaganza has proved a huge hit since the trail went live ten weeks ago on July 13, with both the life-sized and the mini rhinos bringing a smile to the faces of all who came across them.

Those include six-year-old Luke Jeffery, from Eastleigh, who was caught on camera by his mum Natalie when he discovered the mirror-covered rhino Glint in Guildhall Square.

While cousins Sophie Coles, seven, Aaron Doherty, six and four-year-old Layla Doherty took some time out to chill with Reveal rhino outside the Civic Centre.

Another trio of rhino seekers brought a bit of monkey business to the trail, posing as primates with Newton, who they found on Western Esplanade.

There are the latest entries into the Daily Echo’s Go! Rhinos photo competition, looking for the most imaginative ways to have your picture taken with one of the rhinos, without touching it.

The winning photo will win a Junior Experience worth £150, which gives one lucky youngster an unforgettable opportunity to be a zookeeper for the day.

The best of the rest will appear in a special souvenir supplement of photographs on Friday.

Just email your photographs to picdesk@dailyecho.co.uk, with your name, address, contact telephone number and the names and ages of those in the picture, plus where they are from.
