A TEENAGER was subjected to a serious sexual assault by two men in the early hours of today.
Detectives are investigating after the 18-year-old woman reported that she had been attacked by the pair after becoming separated from her friends.
She was approached by the men and assaulted on a pathway between Mount Pleasant Road and Empress Road between 1.30am and 2.30am.
The attackers were chased by the victim’s friends in the direction of Empress Road but escaped.
The suspects are described as white and aged between 20 and 30.
Detective Inspector Richard Sellwood said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has information that may assist our investigation.
“Did you see or hear anything around the time of the incident?”
