A TEENAGER charged in connection with a Hampshire car crash is due to appear before magistrates today.

James John Moncrieff Poole, 19, of no fixed address, is charged with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday when his case was adjourned until today. He was remanded in custody.

Two other youths were arrested at the scene of the crash at Fisher’s Pond last Wednesday. A 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, theft of a motor vehicle and theft from a motor vehicle.

A 21-year old was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and theft from a motor vehicle. Both were bailed, pending further inquiries, until November 21.
