THEY have been taking pride of place all over Southampton to the delight of residents.
But on Saturday the city’s Go! Rhinos came together for a final swansong at Marwell Zoo, near Winchester, before they head off to their new homes.
The Rhinotastic Event was also a chance for potential bidders to see the array of sculptures on offer and decide which to bid for in an auction on October 30.
The rhinos have been inhabiting streets and parks in Southampton as part of Marwell's Go! Rhinos trail through the city during the summer months. Designed to boost the local economy, an estimated quarter of a million people are thought to have followed the trail.
Proceeds from the auction will be split between Marwell’s conservation work, The Rose Road Association and Wessex Heartbeat’s HIGH 5 Appeal.
