PASSENGERS could hold vital clues into a fight on a train in Hampshire after the Bournemouth vs Millwall football match.
Transport police boarded the 9.12pm Bournemouth to Waterloo service at Brockenhurst Station last Saturday after reports that a group of men were seen fighting. They found two men with facial injuries, but no witnesses came forward and no complaints were made.
Detective Constable Matt Bevan said: “It remains unclear as to what exactly happened during the journey, or who was involved.
“We believe that football fans were involved, and that the incident followed the Millwall vs Bournemouth match that took place earlier that day.”
Witnesses should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 5040 or text 61016 qupting reference B5/LSA of 11/10/2013.
