Man charged with assault after policeman injured
A MAN has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm after a police officer suffered serious facial injuries in the New Forest.
Shane Simpson, 26, of Arundel Road, Totton, was charged yesterday following an incident in Gosport Lane, Lyndhurst, at about 10.30pm on Saturday.
Simpson was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today.
