REPAIR work could be carried out on a clock tower in a Southampton park.
The city council has applied for listed building consent to carry out essential repair work at the tower in Mayfield Park.
Timber in the structure has become badly decayed over the years, and the council is now acting to prevent the issue worsening.
If the council’s application is successful, the building’s roof will be overhauled.
A decision is due by December 9.
